Have been cranking
out about a pair a day using worsted weight and 32 stitches on 3.25
mm needles. Gauge 6 stitches per inch.
Twisted German cast-on on a 6.5mm needles with two colors.
Roll top stockinette cuff - it stays up fine when I do it on socksfor
me and it is a lot faster than ribbing.
25-30 rows for cuff.
Heel stitch for 16 rows.
Round type heel (start after one stitch past the center.)
Standard gusset - total of 25 rows (counted from gusset pick-up)
for foot.
Standard toe...a nice little size. Throw in the washer to soften
and block.
And my favorite
Kitchner tip - as you are sewing, pull TIGHTLY as you go from one
needle to the other. Most directions say to work loosely and tighten
later - this NEVER worked for me and was a huge pain. I find that
if I work tightly, when I am done - I am done. As always YMMV.
Picture is slightly smaller than life size...the two color edge
is done by using two balls of different colors while casting on.
