Based on the Gull-Winged baby sweater from Elizabeth Zimmermsn's Knitter's Almanac (page 28). I do the sleeves in the round to avoid sewing and use a simple braided tie to avoid having to think about the buttonholes. The slip stitch pattern is from the "Color at Play" baby sweater in the Spring 2001 issue of Knitter's Magazine. I have to tell you, I hate the pink yarn (and I have a lot of it...) but when I put it with the orange...WOW! Might even have to make something for myself with this combo... The pink is mercerized cotton floss that I got from WEBS a few years ago...and I noticed Robin and Russ still has it, and the orange is Dale's Kolibiri...loverly yarn :-) |
