Using the Thoroughbred
chart (with some slight changes) from Alice Starmore's "The
Scottish Collection." I sorted my yarns into a box of lights
and a box of darks (lower photo) and started flying :-) The yarns
on the floor to the left and right didn't make the final cut...plus
I have weeded out a few more since then. If I can't tell the difference
between two colors in low light...one of them has to go or it makes
it too difficult to know when to change colors.
Campion and
J&S yarns...4mm needles for the body and 3mm for the ribbing...
Gauge - 8 stitches and 8 rows to the inch (unblocked)
Most of the
AS color combinations do not appeal to me so it was very freeing
to set up my own colorway...this will be a short sleeved cardigan...
